In this study, the effects of voice option and work allocation source were examined to reveal their effect on organizational justice and commitment. The effects of personality traits were also examined to determine their role in the relationships between the main variables in this study. To test the hypotheses that asserted that voice options and work allocation source predicted perceptions of organizational justice and commitment, a 2x3 experimental study was used which had participants placed into one of six scenarios where they had to complete a personality measure and measures of organizational justice and commitment. Results showed that voice options significantly predicted organizational justice perceptions and these perceptions also predicted organizational commitment. In general, personality was not a significant predictor of commitment or voice. Work allocation source was also not a significant predictor of neither organizational justice perceptions nor organizational commitment. These findings could be due to the limitations of this present study, given that the sample size was very small and was pulled from a student populated research pool. More research is needed to further explore these findings in a consistently employed population.
