| dc.description.abstract | The N-alkylation of amines is a fundamental transformation in organic synthesis, particularly in pharmaceutical manufacturing. However, conventional methods often pose economic and environmental challenges due to their dependence on toxic reagents and precious metals. In this study, a phosphine oxide pincer ligand was synthesized to construct a cobalt-based catalytic complex for the N-alkylation of amines using structurally diverse alcohol substrates. This approach aligns with green chemistry principles, enabling efficient alkylation while minimizing chemical waste. The method represents a significant step toward more sustainable pharmaceutical synthesis. | |
