| dc.description.abstract | This thesis is the product of three years of reading, researching, writing, and revising. This thesis presents research on writing in various perspectives, personas, and points-of-view, how the creative imagination is developed, and how I have used writing techniques within my own writing while composing my short stories. I was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe and Flannery O’Connor to create eight stories with different perspectives, personae, and points-of-view on various topics: military personnel and their families, a frame narrative set during a single day, remembering our history, and mental health awareness. | |
