dc.description.abstract Masculinity is a quality that we expect of a man. It’s a timeless concept that appears throughout American society. Boys are crafted and beaten until they embody what it means to be a man. Unfortunately, boys aren’t the only ones who suffer. This exhibition, Manifestation: Illustrating American Masculinity, explores the tragic results of manhood put together to draw attention to and to rebuke the damage that pursuing toxic masculinity can cause—not just to boys—but to our society at large. On display from February 4-8, 2018—the exhibition consisted of four pieces on display in the glass gallery of Todd Hall. en_US
