dc.description.abstract The purpose of this Creative Thesis Project is to see if ancient Greek myths and their many themes and retellings can be modernized and put into a lyrical and musical format and still retain their true meanings as well as resonate with a new, younger audience. Success will be determined by how effectively the lyrics of these songs convey the overarching elements and themes of each myth as well as how cohesive the project is as whole. The project will see how music and modernization affect the overall messages and interpretations of the myths. en_US
