dc.description.abstract The goal of this thesis was to spread awareness about the risks of hearing loss in the live music industry to sound engineers at MTSU and encourage them to practice proper hearing protection and conservation techniques. To accomplish this, I did research about both hearing loss and hearing conservation techniques and used that information to create a series of flyers and social media posts designed to encourage students to protect their hearing. Additionally, I interviewed professionals in the industry as well as current MTSU audio production students to determine their views and practices regarding hearing protection.
