dc.description.abstract | Abortion is one of the most controversial topics of the modern day (if not the most controversial). Of all the arguments made in favor of abortion, these are easily the two most common: 1. An unborn fetus isn’t a human being until it’s either viable or the mother decides that it’s a human being; and 2. Regardless of whether an unborn fetus is a human being, the mother’s right to choose to abort the fetus is the most important thing. This story is a combination of science and narrative meant to combat these two misconceptions. Each chapter begins with an epigraph directly or indirectly relating to pregnancy or abortion, followed by a paragraph of science explaining a baby’s development week by week. The narrative portion tells the story of a young woman pregnant by an abusive boyfriend and her extensive struggle to choose between life and death for what she doesn’t always believe are her unborn children. | en_US |
